Tammy Pennington began her journey in nutrition over 30 years ago as a Registered Dietitian. Her career includes working with Renal Disease, Diabetes, and other chronic health disorders, including autoimmune disorders. She is an active NASM Certified Personal Trainer and teaches an online class in nutrition at the University of Louisiana Monroe.
Tammy is no stranger to the struggles in finding a balance with health and fitness. She found herself unfit, depressed, and unhealthy as she turned 40. So she took up running, completing over 20 half marathons and 3 full marathons until an injury sidelined her. She later fell in love with weight lifting and has fully embraced it in spite of several setbacks with mobility. So now she lifts and runs! Tammy is a firm believer that you can stay active and healthy in all stages of life. Balance with diet and fitness and having FUN is so important.
Tammy currently works with people that struggle with disordered eating and chronic health problems as well as endurance athletics and people that are new to weight lifting who are looking to improve their performance, nutritional intake, and fitness. She believes in establishing a good rapport with her clients with open communication.
Tammy will work with you in helping you achieve your health and fitness goals by being with you every step of the way.
